Let's go into the details of the itinerary!
Day 1
Arrival, Capital City Yerevan
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Transfer to the city centre hotel. Check-in Overnight in Yerevan
Day 2
Yerevan City Tour
Start your acquaintance with the historic capital city right from the top at Victory Park. Enjoy the heroic view of the statue of Mother Armenia standing as a vivid example of the long fight for existence. Savour the mixture of different historical phases of the city from the top of the city. Our capital city has a long 2800-year-old history. Take your way down to the Cascade Complex. Cascade Complex houses Cafesjian Centre for the Art which is literally an open-air museum for its visitors. Enjoy your drive along Mashtots Avenue taking a look at Opera House, Swan Lake, Republic Square. Explore Yerevan’s trendy Northern Avenue before exploring Vernissage. There you will find amazing Armenian things. Overnight in Yerevan, Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch Optional: Evening visit to the Swan Lake Skating rink.
Day 3
Lake Sevan- Dilijan – Haghartsin Monastery - Tsakhkadzor
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out Drive to Lake Sevan, the second-highest mountainous lake in the world at 1900m above sea level. Climb up to Sevan Peninsula to marvel at the beautiful view of Lake Sevan, the “blue-eyed” bride of Armenia. Head to Dilijan Resort town in Dilijan National Park, a protected area which is sometimes called Little Armenian Switzerland. Drive to Haghartsin Monastery. Hidden in a verdant valley, Haghartsin was built between the 10th and 13th centuries. A recent restoration of the site was funded by Muhammad Al-Qasimi the Sheikh of Sharjah in the UAE. Overnight in Tsakhkadzor, Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch
Day 4
Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort
Breakfast at the hotel. Tsaghkadzor is one of the most popular winter tourism destinations in Armenia which sits at 1841 meters above sea level. The town is famous for its ropeway, ski runs and forests. The town distance from Yerevan is 50 km. Free day in Tsaghkadzor. Optional activities* at Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort Skiing and/or taking skiing lessons Snowboarding Ropeway experience Snowmobile Zipline Spa centre with mineral water basin nearby Hankavan Spa Town * Optional activities are for an extra charge. Overnight in Tsaghkadzor. Meals: Breakfast
Day 5
Tsaghkadzor- Garni Temple- Geghard Monastery –Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel Early morning head to Garni Temple, which is the only pagan temple existing in the region. You will have lunch at a local restaurant and join the Cuisine Masters to bake Armenian Lavash. Winter frost will make the process of lavash baking even more pleasant sitting around the heat of Armenian “Tonir” and making Armenian “Brduch” of freshly baked Lavash and village cheese. After proceed to Geghard Cave Monastery: an incredible ancient Armenian monastery, partly carved out of a rock. Overnight in Yerevan, Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch Optional activities: Drive to the Symphony of Stones
